Circa 1929 Parker "Raven". This pen is a duplicate of one of my
favorite pens. There is something about the very plain black plastic appearance of these pens that attracts me to them. There is another version of these, not often seen, pens that had two cap bands. This pen is about the same length as a Duofold Senior. It is 5 inches or 12.5 cm. My pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the pen. It is slender the cap is 7/16" and the barrel diameter is 3/8". The gold filled clip has no brassing, and it has no damage of any sort. The nib is an Extra Fine Ultra-Flexible "Lucky Cruve", and an exceptionally smooth writer. The condition is Excellent plus.

Parker "75" in 14K gold filled. The pattern is called Cisele,
sometimes refered to, by pen collectors, as "cross hatched" or "checkerboard. The pen was made in the U.S.A. and is the later variation with an indentation at the top of the cap and the barrel end, with an aluminum "disc". I found evidence of ink on the nib and feed, but the pen appeared to have only been dipped, and not actually filled. It is in perfect condition, and I believe it had never been used. Having found traces of ink I have to classify it in Near Mint Condition. There is no box or papers. It is a cartridge/converter fill. and comes with the converter. The nib is a very smooth Fine 14K.

Parker "75" in Sterling Silver "Cisele"pattern. Made in the U.S.A.
This is a later model with the indented cap and barrel ends, with aluminum "disc" inserts. The pen has been used lightly used and shows no signs of wear, has no dings, dents and is not tarnished. It looks much, much better than it does in my poor quality picture! It has a very smooth writing Fine 14K nib, and it is a cartridge/converter fill, and comes with the converter. The pen is in Excellent Condition.

Parker "75" in 14K Gold Filled "Cisele" pattern, made in the U.S.
This is an earlier version of the "75" and has flat ends on the cap and barrel with no indentations. The pen has been lightly used, but shows no signs of wear, and has only a few micro scratches. It is a cartridge/converter model and comes with the converter. The nib is a very smooth writing Fine 14K. Others might try to pass this pen off as near mint, but I have to classify it as being in Excellent Conditon.

1950's Parker Aerometric in India Black. The pen has a mirrored
finish stainless steel cap. The nib is an exceptionally smooth writing Medium 14K, and it's within .003" from being a broad. I have polished the cap and it looks like mint condition, as does the barrel. The filler unit is the full cover type and is perfect. The ink sac has normal discoloration. This pen is a joy to write with and it has nice even ink flow. The jewel is black.
I have found the Aerometric Parker 51's to be one of the most reliable
fountain pens made, and I carry one in my shirt pocket often.
The overall condition is Excellent.

Circa 1935 Diamond Medal "Vac-Fil" in silver pearl
and black. You might be asking why is this pen on a Parker page. I believe these pens were made by Parker and sold to, or possibly assembled by, Diamond medal. None the less the parts are definately Parker. How do I know? The parts of the pens are nearly identical to and interchange with Parker Vacumatics. They were sold through Sears Roebuck. The pen looks very much like a Parker Challenger, with two significant differences; it has a Vacumatic "Lockdown" plunger and a visulated barrel. The barrel clarity is excellent (you can see the breather tube, in the center of the barrel, through the plastic). There is a very thin line of brassing on one edge of the clip, and some marks in the step on the cap end and blind end cap. Also some pitting in the plunger, but the plunger operates smoothly. The nib is a 14K Flexible Fine. The condition is Very Good Plus.

1950's Parker "51" Demi set in burgundy. The caps have
some micro scratches from normal usage, but there are no dents in the caps. The pencil is working well and is a cap actuated model. When you press down on the top of the cap to advance the lead the whole cap moves. The pen has a nice writing 14K Fine nib. The plastic exterior of the both the pen and pencil has been restored to a nice high polish. The pen writes a nice even line; not too wet and not too dry.
The over all condition is Very Good.

1946 Parker Vacumatic standard size, in sea green pearl. The nib
on this pen is the larger of the 2 standard sizes used. It is a Semi- Flexible 14K Fine Arrow nib. The clarity of the transparent barrel segments is very good, only very slightly ambered. I would rate the barrel clarity at 90 to 95%. The only thing I might call a flaw is a tiny nick in the barrel near the right side of the barrel imprint. Other than that I would rate it as being in Excellent Condition.
