Circa 1939 to '42 R. Esterbrook Co. pencil in black. This is a cap actuated
pencil, i.e. the whole cap moves when you press down on it, and the lead advances. The two hole model pencils are somewhat hard to find. This one is working well. I have not done any polishing on the exterior, and the pencil appears to have seen very little use. The surface has only sparse micro scratches. There is a name imprint, as you can see, on the barrel.

1939 - '49 Esterbrook in Silver Pearl, which Esterbrook named
"Dawn Gray". The nib is a #9668 iridium tipped Medium, and exceptionally smooth writing. It writes a line more like a broad than a medium width nib. This is a very pretty pen. The two hole clip give the pen a very Art Deco appearance.

The condition of the pen is Excellent.

1940's Esterbrook "Transitional" model pen, with single end jewel,
in Fern Green. This is a very beautiful example. The pen has a large amount of reflectivity in the green pearl plastic. More than I normally see in Esterbrooks with this type of plastic. The nib is an iridium tipped #9450 "Extra Firm Posting", which is a firm Fine. It is a lever fill. It has one tiny nick, about the size of a pin head, out of the black jewel on the cap. There is also a bit of staining in the threads on the barrel, which I could not remove. Other than those two minor items the pen is in Excellent Condition. This is the larger of the Transitional models equivalent to a later "J" model. It is 4 7/8 inches or 12.2 cm in length, capped.

Esterbrook Transitional Model in Cobalt Blue.
This model has a jewel-less flat ended barrel.
The nib is "new old stock" iridum tipped Medium Manifold #9460. It is a used pen, but looks as mint. The conditon is Excellent+
