The pen and nib pictured is a 1908 to 1910 Waterman's
#12 VS in red and black mottled hard rubber. The clip
was heavily corroded, and the hard rubber was
discolored by corrosion to the rubber. The pen was
leaking at the turning knob and joint at the lower
portion of the barrel. The nib was bent downward, and
and worn flat on the tip. After restoration the color has
been restored so that it appears close to what it did
when it was new. Most of the bend has been taken out
of the nib. The seal and joint have been fixed, the feed
has been adjusted, the tipping repolished, so that the pen
writes nicely. The original beauty of the rubber has been
restored.

100% Actual Size
Below are photos of a Wahl-Eversharp set in gold filled. The set was tarnished,
when I bought it, but there is no brassing. It cleaned up very nicely! Wahl's name
for this pattern was "Dart". It was made in 1924, and '25, and I'm not sure what
other years. The actual color of the gold is close the picture of the set on the far
right.

1944 Vacumatic Maxima nib.
Now there was job earned I
really earned my money on!

The tines on the nib below
were bent upwards, and
crossed or "scissored".

I do not have a photo of this nib before
restoration. It was protruding a bit too
far and someone had screwed the cap on
and bent the nib at the same time. When
I got the pen the end of the nib pointed
about 30 degrees to the left.

I was very careful working on it, and
very lucky. The tipping material on
Vacumatic nibs breaks off more easily
than some other nibs.

All pens and parts on this page I have personally restored. The pictures have
not been altered, with the exception of resizing and lightening to show detail.

Note scratches on cap and light colored
crazing on barrel.
White specks on barrel are dust specks.
