Late 1930's or early 40's Sheaffer's Oversize
"Premier" 1000 balance pen, in silver pearl. This is a white dot Lifetime model, with a 2 tone borderline Fine/Medium nib. The pen is a decent writer. It is a somewhat unusual model that was made for a short period of time. The barrel has 2 wide transparent panels opposite from one another. *See pictures* Although this model is kind of scarce I have to classify it as a "User Grade" pen. The cap band has light surface scratches, and a hint of brassing at the very edges. I polished the clip, but it has a 1 mm ding on the very edge. The blind end cap on the barrel end is incorrect and has teeth marks, but it could be easily changed. I don't have the correct part in stock though. It is a plunger fill pen, and appears to have been serviced recently, but by someone else. I did the exterior work only. The imprint is good. It would make a good "writer". The overall condition is Very Good, and did not have the normal pitting and corrosion I usually see on the Sheaffer's with white metal trim.

Circa 1928 Sheaffer's Flat Top Lifetime White Dot in
"Pea Green" Jade. This pen has Excellent color. There is a hint of discoloration at the end of the barrel and light discoloration on the barrel threads. There is normal brassing on the clip ball, and an area of brassing on each cap band on the back side of the cap.
There is no other damage of any kind, and the barrel
imprint is deep. The nib is an Extra-Fine Lifetime. This is one of the nicer jade flat tops I have had in several years. The overall condition is Very Good.

Circa 1936 Oversize Sheaffer's pencil in Ebonized Pearl.
There is a little brassing on each side of the edge of the clip ball and a thin line of gold, about 4mm in length, that has flaked from the top edge of the band, in the back. There has been a tapered gold filled band that has been added above the gold filled cone. It was added a long time ago, and I am not sure why it was done. These pencils (and pens) have flakes of natural abalone shell in the plastic. The pencil is in good working order. My pictures do not do it justice! This is a really gorgeous pencil! I have taken the flaws into account, and priced it accordingly for this scarce pencil. The overall condition is Very Good.

Sheaffer's Imperial Lifetime White Dot, in Sterling Silver. This is a
round model and does not have squared ends at the top of the cap and barrrel end, like you might expect on an Imperial. It is a one stroke Touchdown fill system. There is a very shallow dent in the top of the cap and one in the end of the blind end cap. There is no other damage that I can see. The nib is a Flexible Extra-Fine 14K. It's fun to write with! The sterling silver overlay is substantial, and it is a fairly heavy pen. I may just use this pen until someone buys it !! :-)
The silver has no tarnish. Because of the slight damage to the ends I
have to grade this pen as Very Good +.

Sheaffer's Snorkel in light blue. The pen has a very nice writing
Semi-Flexible Medium 14K Triumph nib. The pen has recently been restored and has a new ink sac and barrel o-ring seal. The only flaw I found was a small amout of white plating missing on the left side of the nib. The pen is in Excellent overall condition.
